Ketl Koi Farm hosts the annual Santa Clarita Koi Club Grow Out Contest. Members have the opportunity to select a one-year-old Koi from the same breeding in June. They raise it in their pond for one year. At the end of the year, the Koi are photographed and measured. The now two-year-old Koi are judged on their quality and size. Winners are awarded a framed photo of their prize winning Koi and bragging rights until the next contest.
